Galaxy Turret[]

Upon reaching rank VII, you will have the option to pay 50,000 (500 in the mobile version) to upgrade the Nova Turret to a Galaxy Turret. Galaxy Turrets deal much more damage than Nova Turrets.

Strategy/Usage[]

New players will rely on Nova Turrets to kill enemies, as it is one of the only offensive options available to them at such an early stage in the game. It is better than the Core Blaster (the only other offensive unit available from the beginning) at dealing damage due to its faster fire rate and better damage. Of course, as the player unlocks better units, Nova Turrets will quickly become obsolete. Note that Nova Turret shots can be reflected by shields.

If the player manages to keep some Nova Turrets long enough for them to reach rank VII, they can be (fairly) cheaply evolved into Galaxy Turrets. The massive damage increase makes their potential DPS output on par with Nyon Exists (only in the Flash version; in the mobile version their damage is nerfed); however, they lack any special abilities for utility beyond simple damage. In addition, their shots can still be reflected by shields. Thus Galaxy Turrets may have some use, but are outclassed by other offensive units.

Notes[]

  • The Nova Turret is one of only three units that have a rank VII evolution in the flash version of the game (accompanied by the Aegis Barrier and ZAC Assimilator, which evolve into the Titan Barrier and X-ZAC Assimilator respectively).
  • It is also one of only three units to have an evil counterpart in the mobile version of the game (the evil Nova Turret is always accompanied by Evil Barrier and Evil Command Base, corrupted versions of the Aegis Barrier and Command Base, respectively.).
  • In the Flash version of the game, when upgrading to the Galaxy Turret, its damage may look lower than it should be because of a calculation glitch. To fix this, save the game, reload, then load up the game again.
