The Aegis Barrier is the first defensive unit unlocked, which main use is to provide cover for allied units. It costs 1500 gold to unlock.
It is unique among larger defensive options for players as it comes with a shield, negating damage from certain shots.

Upgrades[]
- Auto Heal - Periodically heals the unit
- Terra Alloy - Boosts HP by a flat amount
- Reflection Barrier - Reduces damage by a percentage and reflects enemy shots
Titan Barrier[]
Once an Aegis Barrier has reached rank VII, you can upgrade it to a Titan Barrier for 500000 gold (5000 in the mobile version). This upgrade adds 150 HP but is not useful until the end game where large amounts of health are needed to survive.

- The Titan Barrier was at one point spelt as "Tytan Barrier" in the mobile version of the game. Since this spelling was later reverted to "Titan Barrier", it was presumably a typo.
- The Aegis Barrier is the only unit in the mobile version to have the Terra Alloy upgrade.
- The Titan Barrier is one of five units to be boosted by the Tech Center's Mode Shift, with the other four being the Glorious Blaster, Vira Healer, Korazon, and Neg Voider.
