Flash Lyra

Lyra in the Flash version of the game.

Lyra is one of the inhabitants of the Command Base along with the Unit Commander, Genu, and Neko, and one of the people seeking to free the galaxy from Villalobos' tyrannical reign. She was an employee of GigaCorp, but leaves as soon as Genu and Neko arrive for her.

Personality[]

As a former employee of Gigacorp, Lyra is smart and enables many of Genu's and Neko's tactics, including providing the Unit Commander with a Formation Editor, using her old Gigacorp permit to get around Nikki, and using a salvaged Gammablocker to mask the base's presence from the Allegiance. She is generally the most down-to-earth of the Command Base's crew, not believing in the existence of Time Warp and finding some events confusing, such as Villalobos signalling the base just to taunt them.

Lyra shares many traits with Neko, as his friend; she is kind-hearted and is willing to support Genu in overthrowing Villalobos, but also worries about him when he abandons the base with his newly obtained Mega-Craft.

Relationships[]

  • Unit Commander: Lyra is helpful to the Unit Commander, giving them advice about upgrade points and offering them her Formation Editor, but otherwise doesn't interact much with them. At the very least, they seem to be on good terms.
  • Genu: While Lyra initially doubts that Genu can really defeat Villalobos, she grows to support and care for him over time; even after Genu abandons the base, Lyra still cares for his well-being.
  • Neko: Neko has known Lyra since before the game's events, as he says that he has a contact in GigaCorp that may be able to help them. Neko is kind hearted and supportive with Lyra, and they both share the same knowledge and intelligence; their friendship is taken to a new level at the end of the game when both of them (with the Unit Commander) are left alone without Genu to find him.
  • Nikki: Lyra interacts very little with Nikki throughout the game, only using her permit to bypass him. It can be inferred that she cares little about him, with no reaction to his death.
  • Villalobos: As with Nikki, Lyra only seems to view Villalobos as a threat to be defeated, though she does rejoice upon defeating him.
  • Clade: Lyra is not afraid of Clade as a threat, unwilling to let him stop her from finding Genu and refusing to show fear after he reveals he does not have a human body.

Trivia[]

  • Clearing Kenta Phi and recruiting Lyra rewards the player with an achievement, Lyra's Gratitude. It is one of the easiest achievements in the game, obtained simply by beating 3 levels.
  • In the mobile version of the game, at any point in time, Lyra can randomly install plasma cannons in the Command Base; this is due to the Command Base not having any upgrades, instead serving as access to building new units.
